General Notes: Husband - Abraham Blakeslee


He and his wife were pioneer settlers of Sparta Township, Crawford County, PA. He came there in 1818 with his parents, who settled on a farm later owned by their son Cyrus, and kept the first hotel in that part of the county. He was a prominent farmer, at one time the largest land and stockowner in this county; was continually elected to some public office of trust.
