General Notes: Husband - Gainer P. Bloom


He attended the schools of Pike township, Clearfied County, Pennsylvania, for his educational privileges. At the age of nineteen he went to Bloom township, and throughout his youth and after attaining his majority he followed farming. He also conducted a hotel for one year. In 1883 his wife purchased forty acres of land, and they developed therefrom a rich farm.
He gave his political support to the Democracy, and served as justice of the peace, constable and town supervisor.
