General Notes: Husband - John Bolar


He came from England to Pennsylvania when a boy. He served in the Revolutionary War. Prior to the war he had made a small improvement on the land in East Wheatfield township, Indiana County, and after his return from the conflict he was married and made an effort for a permanent residence on his land. The warrant is dated March 18, 1785, the survey August 3, 1785, and the patent August 22, 1786. The tract is named "Bolar's Chance."
