General Notes: Husband - Conrad Bombaugh


He was a millwright by profession, and established the first mill at Standing Stone, now Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. About the commencement of the Revolution he located at Highspire, but when the county of Dauphin was organized, in 1785, he was a resident of the new town of Harrisburg. He was a prominent citizen there, was the senior burgess of the borough during the Whiskey Insurrection, and signed the address to Gen. Washington on passing through Harrisburg westward.
