General Notes: Husband - Alexander Goble

He was raised in Clarion, Pennsylvania, where he attended the public schools. One year later the home was established in Mary Ann, Clarion County, and in 1868 the family located on a farm of one hundred acres in Clarion County. For a number of years prior to settling on the farm Mr. Goble was a prominent lumber man.
When but fifteen years of age he enlisted for service in Company F, Sixty-third Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer infantry, and later he enlisted in Company A, One Hundred and Fifth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He served in the Union army for four years, and during that time saw active service in the battles of Gettysburg, the Wilderness, Antietam and Natchetts Run, in the last mentioned of which he was wounded.
