General Notes: Husband - Dr. Constans Curtin


He was a native of Ireland, and emigrated to America in 1806. He completed his professional studies under Dr. Benjamin Rush, of Philadelphia, and located in Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania, in 1810. He was an accomplished and skillful physician, whilst his hospitality and generosity endeared him to a numerous circle of friends and acquaintances.

There is confusion in the sources between this man and his nephew with the same name.
