General Notes: Husband - Henry Miller

---

He learned the miller’s trade and afterwards operated a mill for thirty-five or forty years. Starting in when but fifteen years of age, he succeeded in clearing for himself a farm later known as the McGarge farm, one and one-half miles north of Clarksville. He served two terms as justice of the peace and was constable when the Erie Canal was built. He was a member of the German Reform church and a Democrat in his political affiliations.
He and his wife had nine children.
