General Notes: Husband - Jonathan Bovard

Mercer Twp, Butler Co, PA

He was born in Slippery Rock township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, was reared upon the farm and learned the carpenter's trade, which he followed more or less in connection with farming. In 1875 he purchased a part of the Joseph Brown farm. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and in politics, an adherent of the Democratic party. He filled most of the offices in the township, at different periods, including that of school director.
