General Notes: Husband - Bradley E. Bowers

He attended public school in Cornplanter Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, and began work in the oil fields, having been engaged throughout his business life in the same industry, with which he has been associated both as a refiner and producer. With the exception of one year in the Butler County territory he was occupied in Venango County, for a period of fourteen years following the refining business at Rouseville. Later he had a lease in Cornplanter Township, adjoining the famous Johnny Steele farm. For a number of years he was prominent in the administration of public affairs at Rouseville, having served his fellow citizens as a member of the council for several years. His incumbency of this office covers the period during which the streets were paved, and he was one of the most active advocates of that improvement. Fraternally Mr. Bowers was a Mason, belonging to Fraternal Lodge, No. 483, F. & A. M., of Rouseville.
