General Notes: Husband - Joseph Keppel

He followed agricultural pursuits, and the house in which he lived was built by his father in 1870. In 1902 he received the title to his father's farm which he had previously purchased. He was a member of the Lutheran church in which he held the office of treasurer and was also a member of the church council. For nine years he held the office of school director.

He and his wife were the parents of eight children, two of whom were still living in 1906.
