General Notes: Husband - Valentine Bowser

Some of his children were born in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and in 1808 they moved to the vicinity of what is now Worthington, Armstrong County. They settled on a farm, later known as the Daugherty place, up the creek, one mile north of Walkchalk. He and his wife had a family of twelve children, several of whom were born in Armstrong County.

He was from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and was the first of this branch of the Bowser family to come to Armstrong County. He settled in East Franklin township, obtaining wild land which he cleared. He was a stonemason by trade.
