General Notes: Husband - James Rutherford Boyd


He learned the trade of cabinet-making, at Trenton, New Jersey, and for many years successfully carried on that business. He served as third sergeant in Captain Richard M. Crain's company, the Harrisburg Artillerists, in the war of 1814, and for a long time was a member of the borough council.
