General Notes: Husband - Richard Johnston


He emigrated with his father's family from County Down, Ireland, to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, when nine years of age, and came to Washington County about 1800.
He was elected an elder in the Chartiers Presbyterian Church, and served many years.

He was a native of County Down, Ireland, and immigrated to America in early manhood, settling near Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania, in about 1800.
