General Notes: Husband - George Washington Cole

He and his brothers came from Maine, settled in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, and bought 150 acres on Neville island; after paying for that they purchased 150 acres more, thus owning all of the upper end of Neville, which was heavy timber-land. They cleared away the timber, and sold the cordwood to steamboats on the Ohio river. He then began gardening, and lived there until his death.
