General Notes: Husband - Samuel Braham

He was but two years old when he came to America with his parents from Ireland. His parents located on a farm near New Castle, Pennsylvania, where he was reared and became a farmer by occupation. He married and in 1834 moved to Butler County and settled on a farm near Forrestville, where he remained until late in life, when he removed to Slippery Rock, where he died at an advanced age. He was the father of sixteen children.

Originally from Ireland, he moved to Mercer Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, from New Castle in 1834, and purchased a farm at $8 per acre. The same farm was later owned by the Mercer Mining Company, which purchased it in 1872, at $100 per acre. The farm was settled by William Agnew, and Mr. Braham purchased it from his administrator. At that time it was slightly improved, having about thirty acres cleared and a log house and log barn on it.
He and his wife had sixteen children, eleven lived to maturity.

He sold his farm near New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, in 1834, and moved to Butler County, where he also farmed. A coal company bought his Butler County property, and on moving from it he located at Slippery Rock, Butler County, where he resided until his death at the age of eighty-four years.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Ann Patton

She died when seventy-four years old.
