General Notes: Husband - Rev. Henry Breneman

The Breneman family is of Swiss origin

In 1792 he removed from Manor township and purchased one hundred and forty-seven acres of land from Henry Bowman, in Strasburg township, about three miles south of the borough. In 1795 he erected the barn which was still in use by his grandson a century later, and in 1803 built a residence also occupied by his grandson. He added one hundred and eighty acres of land to his original purchase, including a portion of the farm later occupied by his son, John Breneman, and passed his days in farming.
