General Notes: Husband - Homer D. Negley

He was raised on the family farm and educated at the public schools, but at the age of fourteen years his father sold the farm. He then tried his fortune at work in the oil fields for a number of years. He then moved to Pittsburgh and learned the carpenter's trade, which he followed ever since. In 1902, he established a business in this line for himself and engaged as a contractor and builder. In his political views he was a Republican and in religious faith was of the Methodist church. He was connected with the Masonic fraternity, being a member of the Masonic Lodge, No. 634\emdash Fort Pitt.
