General Notes: Husband - Alden Stancliff

He was a painter by trade and also worked for many years manufacturing handles. He owned twenty acres of well-improved land. He served as Road Commissioner and School Director. Politically he was a Republican. [HEC 1884, Bios 230]

He was very young when the family removed to Pennsylvania, and his education was acquired at Sharp's Corners, Erie County. He was engaged in agricultural pursuits all his life, served as a road commissioner, and as a member of the board of school directors.

General Notes: Wife - Amelia Brooks

She was born April 30, 1846. [GPHWP, 1764] But this can't be right if she had a son born in 1853, as the same source states. Could this be the date of marriage? They were married in 1846. [HEC 1884, Bios 230]
