General Notes: Husband - Abraham Howe

This is a very common name among those of British descent, and has been graced by men of distinction both in Great Britain and in the United States. The present family is said, however, to be of German origin.

This may be the Abraham Howe who was a weaver, and owned forty acres of land in Derry township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in 1779; nevertheless, this date seems too early.
