General Notes: Husband - Robert Taft

In 1667 he was one of the men of Braintree, Massachusetts, who founded the new village of Mendon, and he was an influential citizen of the latter place. He served on the first board of selectmen of Mendon. The Taft family soon became numerous in Worcester County, Massachusetts, and elsewhere, and records are imperfect, but included here is a probable line of descent.
