General Notes: Husband - Joseph Payne

He left York County, Pennsylvania, with the intention of going to Kentucky, but on visiting a cousin in Snowden township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, he was persuaded to locate in the latter county. Previous to his departure from York County he married, and they located in 1795 on a farm later owned by William Lemuel and Milo Curry, in Jefferson township, on Lick run, near Cochran's Mill.
