After marriage, they lived in Centre County, PA, until 1832 when the family moved to Venango County, engaging in farming there.

Buried in the Old Franklin Cemetery: Thomas Brown, died April 23, 1864, aged 84 years.


General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth "Betsy" Hays


Shortly after the death of her husband she went to live with her daughter Amanda in Cochranton, Crawford County, PA. She retained her memory to the last, although she lost her eyesight seven years before her decease.

He and his wife were cousins.
