General Notes: Husband - Archibald Brownlee


This family immigrated to America about the year 1765, first settling in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and in 1775 made a permanent home in Canton township, Washington County. He was formerly a member of the Scotch Presbyterian Church, afterward becoming a Seceder.

He was born and reared in the Valley of Clyde, and there married. He immigrated with his family to America about 1765, first locating in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where they remained some time, and in 1775 purchased a farm in Canton township, Washington County, which became their permanent home. He followed agricultural pursuits all his life.
