General Notes: Husband - Charles Ury Brownlee


He was reared in Washington, Pennsylvania, and attended the public schools, after which he engaged for some time in teaming, then learned brick-laying, and later was engaged in brick contracting, having formed a partnership with Mr. Leslie.

He enlisted with Company H, 10th Pennsylvania Volunteers and served through the Spanish-American War. He was in the Philippines during the war and was discharged at the close.
