General Notes: Husband - John L. Hettenbaugh

He was educated in the district schools of Scott Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, and grew to manhood skilled in all kinds of farm work.
He had an excellent farm, twenty-five acres of which he cleared himself, and he made it a valuable, well improved property. He raised much fine stock and sold and shipped stock to various sections, even as far as Germany. In politics he was always identified with the Democratic party, but was never a seeker for political honors.
