General Notes: Husband - Dr. William Hosack, M.D.


He worked at the blacksmith trade for one year, and then entered the army during the Civil War, serving in company I, 11th Pennsylvania R. C. for three years, nine months and eleven days, being a prisoner for the last nine months at Andersonville. He attended Glade Run Academy, graduating in 1868, and taught three years in Blairsville and Burrell townships. He read medicine with Dr. M. R. Banks, of Livermore, and graduated in the spring of 1874, at the Cleveland Medical College, attending his first course of lectures in the session of 1870. His first location was in West Lebanon, remaining till April, 1879, when he removed to Cherrytree, and purchased, in company with J. M. Hosack, the drug store of E. Brailler, M. D.
