He settled near Paris in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and followed the occupation of a farmer. He was a member of the Associate Presbyterian Church, and served as elder of that denomination. His remains lie buried in the Associate Burial Ground at Paris, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
