General Notes: Husband - John Buchanan

He was born in Hanover township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, was a farmer, purchasing a farm just across the line in Virginia (later West Virginia), where he spent the remainder of his life. His remains lie buried in the Presbyterian grounds in Fairview, West Virginia.

In the latter part of the eighteenth and the early part of the nineteenth centuries John Buchanan was a farmer of Hancock County, West Virginia, his lifelong home. He was the owner of a small farm, which he cultivated until his death.
