General Notes: Husband - Dr. Henry DeWitt Pawling, M.D.


He studied medicine, graduated at the University of Pennsylvania, and soon after entered upon the frigate Potomac as Assistant Surgeon in the United States Navy, serving three or four years on a cruise in the waters of South America. Returning home he located at King-of-Prussia, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in a very extensive practice over parts of three or four counties beginning in 1835 or 1836.
