He married and located at Natrona, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where he was employed at the soda-works. He and his wife afterward resided in Butler County, later in East Liberty, Allegheny County, and in 1871 went to Fawn township, locating on a farm. Mr. Negley held several official positions in the township. They were members of the Methodist Church.
