General Notes: Husband - B. C. Town

He was connected with mercantile business since he became a young man. In 1843, he entered into partnership with his father and brother, M. C. in North East and Wattsburg, Pennsylvania, under firm name of B. Town & Sons. After a time, M. C. withdrawing, the firm name was changed to B. C. Town & Co., who continued business both at Wattsburg and North East for seven years, when the partnership closed, and our subject took a season of rustication in collecting, farming, milling, and finally landed on the beautiful shores of Maryland, where he spent five years. After the death of his father, he returned to North East, where he then engaged in business.
