MRS. LIZZIE BURGER
PASSED AWAY AT HOME NEAR MILL VILLAGE ON SATURDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 30th, AF­TER LINGERING ILLNESS.
     Jan. 9.-Mrs. Lizzie Mays Burger passed away at her home near Mill Village Saturday evening, December 30th, after a lingering illness, and although her death had been expected for some time the news of her death came as a great shock to her many friends.
Mrs. Burger was born in Venango County, Penn'a June 4th, 1857, and moved with her parents to Mill Village in 1871 where she had resided ever since. She was united in mar­riage to Albert Burger, October 27th, 1875. To this union were born eleven children, Charles who died in infancy; Mrs. Cora Weigel; Mrs. Lydia McCartney; John A. and Martal D. of Erie, Pa.; Mrs. Lizzie Weigel, Mrs. Meade Perkins and Earl P., of Mill Village; and Wayne Park and Gladys, at home. Besides her devoted hus­band and ten children, she leaves to mourn her death, an aged mother, Mrs. Mary A. Mays, of Mill Village and two brothers Mr. A. J. Mays, of Garland, Pa., and Mr. Perry B. Mays of Mill Village, also eight grand children.
She was a highly respected lady and loved by all who knew her. She was particularly devoted to her home and family and her passing away will leave a vacancy in the community which never can be filled.
The funeral serivces were held at her late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock Rev. J. A. Doerr, of the Presbyterian church of Mill Village, officiated. Her four sons, John, Mar­tal, Earl and Wayne acted as bearers. Interment was made in the family lot in the Mill Village Cemetery.
