General Notes: Husband - Zephaniah N. Burger


He was educated at common schools and Laird Institute, Murraysville, Pennsylvania. He taught school eight terms, then removed to Greensburg and engaged in the sewing machine, piano and organ business. He conducted the same in Greensburg from 1886 to 1893-94, when he opened the same line of business at Manor, having removed his residence to that town in 1884. He and his brother Joseph A. were in partnership in that line, including a news depot, for many years, under the firm name of Burger Bros.
He was a Democrat, a member of the Reformed church, of which he was secretary for fifteen years, and a member of Manor Council, No. 716, Royal Arcanum.
