General Notes: Husband - James Purdy

Aug. 23, 1861, he enlisted in Co. F, 46th P. V. I., and served three years. He was at Winchester, Virginia, Cedar Mountain, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Atlanta campaign, Peach Tree Creek, Dallas and Pumpkin Vine creek, and after the war returned to his farm, where he then resided. Mr. and Mrs. Purdy were members of the U. B. Church at Clinton.
