General Notes: Husband - John George Bushyager

He was a native of the city of Heidelberg in the province of Baden, Germany, who, early in the nineteenth century, when a young man, came to the United States of America and located at Adamsburg, Penn township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Being well educated in the German language he opened and taught German school in the village. He became affiliated with the German Reformed church at Brush Creek, later known as Old Brush Creek. Many of the old church records are in his hand writing. He also administered the right of baptism.

He and his wife had nine children; three were still living in 1893.
