General Notes: Husband - Hugh Gallagher

He was a native of County Donegal, Ireland, immigrated to Pennsylvania about 1800, and settled in Clearfield township, Butler County. He purchased 300 acres of land, erected a cabin, and spent the remaining years of his life engaged in making a home for his family. The old homestead was later occupied by Paul Kausler.
He and his family belonged to the Catholic church, and he was buried in the old Catholic cemetery at Butler.
