General Notes: Husband - John Byerly

Buffalo Twp, Butler Co, PA

He received a common school education, and followed farming since boyhood. He was one of the most extensive and successful farmers in Butler County, and was the owner of over 700 acres of land in Butler and Allegheny counties. He resided on the old family homestead, and had fifteen producing [oil] wells on the Jefferson township farm, in which, how-ever, the Byerly heirs had an interest. In politics, he was a stanch Republican.
