General Notes: Husband - Capt. Ebenezer Byles


Captain Ebenezer Byles arrived in Allegheny Township, Venango County, PA, in 1825, from Hartford, CT, where he had been sheriff, and acquired his military title by service in the war of 1812. He settled the Clark farm.

The original ancestor of the Byles family came from England and settled in Connecticut.
