General Notes: Husband - Thomas S. Calhoon


He began life on the river at an early age, and when twelve years old he made a trip to Nashville on the "Caledonia." He was a captain beginning in 1862, and was later in command of the "Katie Stockdale," plying between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
