General Notes: Husband - Parker Campbell

There is confusion in the sources as to the parents of this person.

He studied law at Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, where he was admitted to practice, but in 1794, he removed to Washington, Pennsylvania, being admitted to that bar at the December term of court. He was considered a brilliant lawyer of his day, and the old records of the courts of western Pennsylvania show that he was extensively engaged in the trial of most of the causes instituted. He was particularly eloquent. He served as a volunteer aid to Gen. Adamson Tannehill in the War of 1812, on the Niagara frontier.
