General Notes: Husband - John Calhoun

He was reared at the family home, and being the only son, inherited the entire tract upon his father's death. After his marriage he brought his wife to the farm and lived in the old log house until his death. He completed the clearing of the farm, and lived prosperously and comfortably, his agricultural operations uniformly successful.

He and his wife were second cousins.
