General Notes: Husband - Johnston Calhoun

He came to America in 1790, in the brig "Cunningham," and landed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He lived three years in Kennigojig, Pennsylvania, then went to Washington County and rented a farm where the Washington County Home later stood. He sold provisions to the government troops commanded by George Washington, when he was sent to quell the whisky insurrection. In 1800 he bought over 300 acres of land at Mill Creek, where he died, aged eighty-two years.
