General Notes: Husband - Francis C. Harrison, M.D.

He was born in Ireland, whence he came to America with his parents when he was seven years old. He grew to manhood at Castleton, Vermont, and was educated at a college there, adding to his literary studies a course in medicine. Coming to Pennsylvania, he located first at Bloomsburg, where he practiced successfully for some time. He married and not long afterward removed to Lewisburg, where he turned his attention to finance, taking the position of president of the First National Bank, which post he held until his retirement from active business. While he was a politician he gave hearty support to the principles of the Republican party; in religious faith he was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
