General Notes: Husband - Samuel Newcomer


He was a prosperous farmer in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He owned six farms, each being of fifty acres or larger. These farms he gave to his children; the oldest son and Eliza Ann Newcomer received their farms after their father's death.
In public affairs he held the office of road supervisor. He was in politics a Democrat, in religion a Baptist.
