General Notes: Husband - William Gill

---

He was a carpenter by trade, who came to America from Glasgow, Scotland, in 1786, settling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1793 he came to Crawford County and after raising a crop returned to Pittsburgh, and in 1794 moved with his family to what is now Hayfield Township, Crawford County, where he followed farming the balance of his life.

He and his wife emigrated from Scotland to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1786, and in 1794 they removed to what is now Hayfield township, Crawford County, and located on tract No. 70, on the west branch of French creek.
