He and his wife came from Ireland, their native land, in 1822 and settled in the woods in Bradford township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, where they made a comfortable home.

A native of Ireland, he came to Pennsylvania when a young man, and located in Bradford township, Clearfield County. He was married there, and passed his life as a farmer. [CBRCP-CCJC, 982]
