General Notes: Husband - Clarence Carl Carmichael


He resided at home until October 6, 1942, when he enlisted in the service of his country as a Naval Air Cadet specializing as a radio operator. His initial training was at Seattle, Washington, and later was transferred to Cecil Field, Jacksonville, Florida, for advanced training and was about ready for active duty as a radio operator on a Flying Fortress, when he was killed in an airplane accident at Cecil Field. Military services were held at Stone-boro, Pennsylvania, July 29, and burial beside his parents at Grove City, Pennsylvania. Clarence was a regular attendant at Church and Sunday School at Irwin Church. He was also a member of Worth Lodge, I. O. O. F.
