General Notes: Husband - John Carmichael, Esq.


He removed in 1869 to Deer Creek township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, where he lived during the remainder of his life; educated in common schools, he was a farmer, a member of the Methodist Church and a Democrat in politics. He held the office of Justice of the Peace for twenty-five years, and served in various town­ship offices.
He was a soldier in the Civil War, enlisting October 7, 1862 in Co. A, 169th Pa. Inf. and was discharged at the end of the term of enlist­ment, July 26, 1863, with the rank of Commissary Sergeant.

She was the mother of two children, one still living in 1888.
