General Notes: Husband - Augustus Giebner

He was born in Sandy Lake Twp, Mercer Co, PA. [HMC 1888, 1056]

He went to school for only ten weeks; in 1858 he purchased a farm in Worth Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, later occupied by Jacob Bixler. He remained on this farm until his death. He was a Republican and a member of the Fairview Methodist Episcopal church.
He served durning the War of 1812.

General Notes: Wife - Nancy Carmichael

HMC 1888, 1075 gives two different names for the wife of Augustus Giebner; first that it was Nancy Carmichael and then that it was Sarah Carmichael. Perhaps he was married to both, Sarah after the death of her first husband, James Wilson.
