He and his brother, the only two children of their parents, so far as known, were "put out to service" when very young, thus losing all track of each other and their family.

He came from east of the mountains [in Pennsylvania?] and settled in the Manor valley, Westmoreland County, later moving to Middletown, where his death occurred.
